We are excited to announce our new fabulous retreat in Piedmont, Italy. The retreat will take place in the stunning Canonica Di Corteranzo: http://www.canonicadicorteranzo.it

Andrina attended a wedding at the venue last September and was so captivated by the location that we just KNEW that we had to bring some Javalicious magic there!

Dates:

Thursday, September 28th to Sunday, October 1st, 2017

Included:

Room (Thursday, Friday, Saturday Nights)
Breakfast (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

Shuttle from and to the train station on Thursday and Sunday.
From Zurich the best connection is to Vercelli via Milano. There is a train that leaves at 11:00am which arrives at 4:00pm with only one transfer in Milan. Driving is also an option – we will organize a carpool if there is interest.

Proposed schedule:

  • Group dinner on Thursday night
  • Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings we will start the day with a delicious, stretchy Yoga practice, followed by breakfast.
  • After breakfast you will be free to explore the area, hang out at the pool or enjoy the spa.
  • At 5:00pm we will meet again for a revitalizing Yoga practice, followed by a nourishing dinner prepared by the resident Chef.
  • One day will feature a wine tasting and one will feature a truffle hunt. The above schedule will be adjusted accordingly for these special events.
  • There is an outdoor pool on the premises that can be used at any time. There is also a small spa for an additional cost.
  • Sunday morning will feature a final celebratory Yoga practice and breakfast. A train at 2:00pm will return you to Zurich by 7:00pm.

Niki, founder of Java Yoga, received her 200 hour yoga teacher training in Philadelphia in 2002.  She has since completed an 80 hour training in Hot Yoga and a 36 hour training in Restorative Yoga in Vancouver

Rooted in an enquiry-based style and operating from the new
paradigm of BioTensegrity, Niki invites students to be deeply present and explore the daily needs of their evolving bodies.  Traditional Vijñana Yoga postures (with variation for all levels) are interspersed with Myso-fascial Manipulation, Tensegrity sequences, dance moves and Pilates. All movement is centered around the breath.Niki is heavily influenced (and occasionally overcome) by Vijñana and Kundalini Yoga, Zen Meditation, Somatics, Burlesque Dance, and Myo-Fascial Manipulation. It is her goal to assist students in ultimately becoming their own teachers.

img_8374What types of yoga will be practiced at the retreat?
You will experience Kundalini, Yin, Vijñana, Yogalates and Restorative Yoga. All classes will focus on cleansing and detoxing not only on a physical but also on a mental and emotional level. (Click here for more details on these practices)


How many hours a day will we spend practicing yoga?
We will spend four hours practicing a mix of invigorating and relaxing asana.

Do I need previous yoga experience?
Absolutely not!  The classes will be all-levels.  We will offer plenty of variations to satisfy those who want to practice at a higher level and will take special care to ensure that beginners feel supported and comfortable.

What if I have dietary restrictions?
Please let us know as soon as you can and we will make every attempt to accommodate your needs.  The food served (and discussed in the workshops) will be plant-based, gluten and dairy free.

Will there be free time?

Yes, your body and mind need time to rest and incorporate what you have learned.  There will be breaks throughout the day as well as restful activities.img_2581

What do I need to wear and bring?
Wear comfortable, loose, layered clothing. Make sure to wear a warm outer layer and thick socks to stay warm during savasana and workshops. Please bring your own yoga mat.  A meditation cushion is a lovely addition.

What language will the classes be given in?
The primary language of the retreat will be English.  Translation into Swiss German will be provided by me if necessary.

PAYMENT TERMS & CONDITIONS: CHF 250 non-refundable deposit required at time of booking. Full balance due August 28, 2017. Registration after August 28, 2017: full balance is required.

REFUND POLICY: If cancellation occurs 30-days or more prior to retreat start date a full refund will be issued minus the CHF 250 non-refundable deposit. If cancellation occurs between 30 and 14-days prior to retreat start date, 50% of the full fee will be refunded. If cancellation occurs on less than 14-days prior to the retreat start date no refund will be issued.
